Located at Jannowitzbrücke, within a former DDR housing ensemble, the project occupies the void left by a demolished supermarket between three Plattenbau towers. It is conceived as a social condenser, structured by a continuous system of ramps that cuts through the building and connects all levels. A hybrid library anchors the project: a formal archive below ground and an open, flexible space at ground level responding to contemporary, digital forms of knowledge exchange.
Above, a dense mix of programs — auditorium, café, workspaces, sports and sauna — creates an active vertical layering of public life. The project culminates in a transparent roofscape, where a swimming pool overlooks Berlin, transforming the building into an elevated collective landscape.
